The Holy Spirit in the church

The Holy Spirit in the church
New outpouring, new anointing which are not necessarily accompanied by any visible evidence, or even strong emotion; but one that renews the inner strength and gives deeper inner joy.“Let’s share from Duewel again: “The Holy Spirit is a holy person, not a holy emotion. Yet as this holy person works within us He imparts His holy power, His divine adequacy, to us in such a way that we feel new inner strength, new enablement above our own resources, a sense of special spiritual authority and faith and we recognize a new effectiveness which we must credit entirely to the Spirit, not to ourselves”. (Wesley L. Duewel in Ablaze for God). This is the kind of experience of repeated empowering of the early apostles such that they powerfully delivered the heavenly vision and were used to heal, deliver and release the captive of the devil. The book of Acts is awash with the constant work of the Holy Spirit in the apostolic ministries. Acts 2:4; 4:31; 6:10; 7:55; 9:17; 11:15; 13:9; 13:52 and 19:6; among others, told stories of how the apostles and brethren of old were filled with the Holy Spirit before they could accomplish their commission. We too must experience the Holy Ghost revival. This is far beyond mere clapping, raising of hands in praises or jumping and all those bodily exercises that are predominant in our services today. Let the Holy Spirit continue His works till Christ comes. Amen.
